“Running is not, as it so often seems, only about what you did in your last race or about how many miles you ran last week. It is, in a much more important way, about community, about appreciating all the miles run by other runners, too.”

Loopy and Booman…
Unbeknownst to most (save Loopy) I flirted with running the trails, neither going far nor fast, MANY years ago… like 40, give or take. I totally wasn’t ready, but I instantly made a new best friend. I lost touch with him when I stopped (hard to even notice I started!) running shortly thereafter. Purely coincidentally, after being out of touch with him for maybe 30 years, I had dinner with him last night, and he mentioned how HE missed running and the community of runners. I told him the community is there, and never goes away, even if we do sometimes take a “break”. Maybe a future Bimbler…
