This is the 4th year for the Bimbler’s Bash 10k (ish) and each year proceeds from the event have been donated to the Guilford Land Conservation Trust who preserve many local open space properties, including Westwoods where the race takes place. This year as well as the event itself we propose to hold a Trails Day on Sunday March 14th after the second Bite of the Bash, and hope that as many runners as possible will contribute a few hours of their time to help with this project. The logo for this year’s Bimbler’s Bash which reflects the slogan “…at the end it isn’t over…” has been created by designer and fellow runner Cathi Bosco.
What is the inspiration for the slogan? I guess you can’t get enough of a good thing!
Bimbler’s Bash 2010

The 4th Bimbler’s Bash is scheduled to take place on Sunday April 11th, 2010 and run through Westwoods, Guilford. Registration will open in early January 2010 via mail and on-line at Active.com, and all proceeds from the event are donated to the Guilford Land Conservation Trust. Bimbler’s Bash 2009 Proceeds
Proceeds from the 2009 Bimbler’s Bash which I have donated to the Guilford Land Conservation Trust, were $1,315.66.

It is late on Sunday evening and I must confess I am feeling quite tired, but also content. Today was memorable for so many reasons, all of which were centered around a few hours known to many as ‘the Bash’. This was the third year and the event has continued to grow not only in terms of the number of participants, but also reputation. The word has clearly spread.
