This report is not really about my run today but more about the day itself. It was perfect! Of course we all know the weather was spectacular and the course was certainly a Bimbler course. Translation? Hard! What made me smile the most had nothing to do with running. It had to do with all the Bimblers helping out at the aid stations and all the Bimblers out there running to the best of their ability on this given day. It had to do with Jerry running around passing out Buffs, recording times and handing out “swag”. In every way this was a magnificent day for anyone who considers themselves a Bimbler. The day represented the group creed of “truth lies within”. Whether you were the first to finish or the last, every Bimbler found truth out on the course today. Whether you ran the relay or the 50K, whether you set out course markers yesterday or volunteered in some way today. The Bluff represented the best in everyone. Shelly Girl and I consider ourselves lucky to be a part of the group and look forward to the future with a smile in our heart
Some final thoughts from the day.
- Snobody- thanks for getting me to Breamore. Our conversation on parenting will be continued in the near future.
- Iggy – I am sorry I did not hear your yell but I am glad you heard mine.
- Suds- Not what you had hoped, but the result changes nothing. You are the best!
- Forrest – A well deserved finish. First Bimbler!
- Nadia – Second women but best cartwheel/round off finish.
- Shelly Girl – Thanks for the cake and glad to see you regaining the groove!
- Ultra – A strong finish, even with no gu’s
- Allstate – Your spirit makes me smile
- Guthrie – I can’t wait until you are back out there.
- Bimble – Your vision is reality. What’s next?
To all I have not mentioned, especially the volunteers, awesome job and great memories that I will remember. Thanks!

THANK YOU, Jerry and all the fantastic volunteers for a wonderfully well-run race today! Never seen a better job! And thank you again, Diana, for the help you gave me! Despite my injury, all your hard work made running (and walking) the Bluff course on this beautiful day a great experience. And congratulations to all who ran yesterday! I can’t wait to hear stories from your day!
