Gretchen, Snobody and I participated in the 40th Annual Tradition Run at Hubbard Park in Meriden today. The race, or un-race, as they call it starts at the base of East Peak in Hubbard Park and winds around a reservoir and up to Castle Craig at the top of East Peak. The way up is approxiametly 5K and you have the option of taking a ride down or making it a 10K. We all ran back down and enjoyed conversation on the much easier return trip. The trip up and down is on roads, but they were snow covered and made for slow going. This is a great place for hill repeats, if you are so inclined. No pun intended.
The run is billed as an un-race because, even though they give you your time to the top, all finishers are listed in alphabetical order. No race pressure, just a fun run. It is free to participate, and they have pre and post race snacks. Next year it would be fun to get a group together to run in this new place. It is very beautiful. (See Pictures in Gallery)
P.S. Nobody caught Snobody until the peak.

Nice job Bounce! I didn’t run the race, I didn’t write the race report and I didn’t post the pictures the the photo gallery – I think I could (not) do these races more often! 🙂 Thanks for the post and the pictures.
PS. Did I get confused here, who is Nobody? I thought just three of you ran, so does this mean MrsAJC wants to now be known as Nobody?;-)

Awesome guys – I was thinking it would have been fun to join you – but I was so tired from the long run on Saturday it was impossible to join. Thanks for taking photos and writing a report! Looks really cold there!!!!
